Official Signing Ceremony of Skills for Inclusive Growth (S4IG) – Phase 2

Skill development project with the support of the Australian government for the aim of developing the skills of the people of the country and leading them to jobs for the professionals in the tourism and host sector of Sri Lanka Started a (S4IG)
The first phase of the S4IG project was operated from 2017 to 2021 and today for its second phase (31) signed the agreement of understanding between Secretary of State Deepa Liyanage and Mr. David Holly, the Australian General Commissioner. According to this agreement, Australian $12 million grant technology aid for the skill development in Sri Lanka.
Phase 2 programs to strengthen supply skills by developing skills in terms of micro, small, medium scale entrepreneurial productivity and growth. Also, during the first phase, programs were conducted in the tourism and host sector to provide opportunities to people with unparalleled professional and technical training especially women and people with disabilities.
Muditha Malkanthi, Additional Secretary to the Ministry of State, Mr. Dasitha Niroshan (Chairman), a group of Australian government officials associated with the S4IG project participated.
