Korea agrees to continue supporting Vocational Education in Sri Lanka

Korean Ambassador to Sri Lanka Woonjin Jeong and Director of the Korean Embassy EXIM Bank in Sri Lanka together with a delegation from Korea participated in a special observation tour of the Korean Institute of Technical Training (K Tec) in Orugodawatta today (24). State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation, Dr. Seetha Arambepola was also present at the occasion.
Following special discussions held, the Korean delegation agreed to provide necessary assistance to enhance the vocational education of students in Sri Lanka as per the State Minister’s request.
Established with the assistance of the Korean Economic Development Cooperation Fund, K Tec operates under the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka (VTA).
Secretary to the Ministry of State Deepa Liyanage and VTA Vice-Chairman Mahesh Ariyaratne along with the Korean delegation were also present.
