The Career Bus arrived in Dondra on its maiden voyage Friday, February 7 to bring professional career testing and guidance, as well as up-to-date information about the changing world of work to Sri Lankan youth with limited access to career guidance professionals. The terminus of the maiden voyage will be Point Pedro on May Day to symbolically mark the importance of career planning and skills development on the day Sri Lanka celebrates the workers whose labor makes the country thrive. In between, The Career Bus will transverse the whole island from south to north passing through parts of Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Eastern, North Central and Northern Provinces stopping at more than 30 towns and villages to bring career guidance services to rural youth.
