Another one of the Technology Incubation Centres established by the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission affiliated to the State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation under the project for establishing incubation centres at district level island-wide with the objective of providing a wide range of services to the inventors, was declared open at the University of Rajarata today(09th).
Two such incubation centres which assist local inventors in improving their primary level inventions and in initiating business start-ups at the district level have been already established at the National Engineering Research and Development Centre of Sri Lanka and at the University of Jaffna. Dr.(Mrs.) Seetha Arambepola ,The Hon. State Minister of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation extended her well wishes online for this inauguration ceremony.
This event was presided over by Ven. Eethalawatunuwave Pagngnananda Thero, Chancellor of the University of Rajarata, while a group of officials including Mrs Padma Rajapakse, Secretary to the State Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation, Dr.B.A. Karunaratne, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Rajarata, Dr A. M.J.B. Adhikari, Dean-Faculty of Agriculture, University of Rajarata, Prof.Rangika Halwathura, Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Inventors Commission, Mr P.M. Dharmatilleke, Director General, Mrs Kumari Meegahakotuwa, Director General, Mrs Nazeema Ahamad, Director of the State Ministry, also took part in the proceedings.
