The Sri Lanka-Russia Friendship Association held an anniversary celebration on 06.04.2021 at the Russian Palace in Colombo to commemorate the historic moment of Yuri Gagarin’s first official visit to Sri Lanka with the title of ‘First Cosmonaut’ for the first human space flight and, Dr. Sitha Arambepola, Hon. Minister of State for Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation was the Chief Guest.

Also, Minister of State for Educational Reforms, Open Universities and Distance Learning Promotion and President of The Sri Lanka-Russia Friendship Association Mr. Susil Premajayantha and Deputy Head of the Russian Mission, Consultant Alexei Budanov join for this occasion
